Sugar Skulls: the Plugged In Session

We're not sure what the hell Wandering Soul, Frontlawn Blues or Jigsaw Jazz are. Not that you need to know any of Sugar Skull's probably made up genre descriptions to figure out what makes them special.
All Sugar Skulls need is Alyson Alonzo's voice, an instrument that recalls the wounded soul of Amy Winehouse, the fire and brimstone of Beth Ditto, and the endless variations of Sarah Vaughan.
Backed by the capable rhythm section of Jeff Palacios on guitar, and Nathanial Hughes, the Skulls took to our own Studio B to lay down a handful of tracks (many to be released soon on their forthcoming debut EP).

Listen through selected tracks from the session below, and tune in to hear the full session w/ exclusive interview content with the band this Thursday at 10pm on Indie Overnight.
