Band of the Week: The Rich Hands

If there's one thing that's evident about The Rich Hands, it's that they grew up with a deep admiration for 50's rock 'n' roll and 60's pop, that's evident in their music. The Rich Hands, a San Antonio born and bred three-piece consists of guitarist/singer Cody Mauser, drummer Nick Ivarra and bassist/singer Matt Gonzalez.

Their album Out of My Head produced by Fountain Records turned heads when it was released in 2014. The Rich Hand guys churn out soulful tunes with melodies that make you want to tap your toes. On the album's first track "All Over Me," lead singer, Mauser, croons out the ever-popular chorus "I want you/All over me" with memorable gusto.

The rest of the album is laden with choppy guitar work, infectious drum beats and lyrics that stick with you. The Rich Hands tie in references to their adolescence and heart ache ("Love Struck," "Teenager," and "I Want You"). These high school buds draw from their rock 'n' roll influences, but have reinvented it to make it something special of their own.

Memorable tracks: "Teenager," "All Over Me," and "No Harm Blues"
